Im Betrieb arbeitet ein KI-Agent mit — direkt in der Konsole, mit festen Abläufen statt Bauchgefühl. Er prüft Systeme, spielt Routine-Updates ein, ordnet Auffälligkeiten zu und hält alles im Second Brain fest.
An AI agent works alongside me in operations — right in the console, following fixed procedures instead of gut feeling. It reviews systems, applies routine updates, sorts out anomalies and records everything in the second brain.
- 01 Abläufe statt Zuruf. Audit, Update-Lauf und Integritätsprüfung sind als wiederholbare Verfahren beschrieben — jedes Mal gleich gründlich. Procedures, not prompts. Audits, update runs and integrity checks are written down as repeatable procedures — equally thorough every time.
- 02 Aus Fehlern werden Regeln. Jede Analyse landet als Notiz, jeder Stolperstein als Regel, die beim nächsten Mal mitläuft. Mistakes become rules. Every analysis ends up as a note, every pitfall as a rule that runs along next time.
- 03 Der Mensch entscheidet. Was Wirkung hat — Neustarts, große Versionssprünge, Firewall-Regeln — gebe ich frei, nicht der Agent. A human decides. Anything with impact — reboots, major upgrades, firewall rules — is approved by me, not by the agent.
Ein Leitstand statt zehn Dashboards
One control room instead of ten dashboards
Monitoring-Werkzeuge können viel, sehen aber oft nach Maschinenraum aus. Deshalb habe ich mir einen eigenen Leitstand gebaut: eine Web-App im Look dieser Seite, am Laptop wie am Handy. Sie liest die Messdaten nur und sortiert sie nach Fragen statt nach Metriken: Läuft alles? Sind die Backups frisch? Was wartet auf mich?
Monitoring tools can do a lot, but they often look like an engine room. So I built my own control room: a web app in the look of this site, on the laptop as well as on the phone. It only reads the measurements and sorts them by questions instead of metrics: Is everything running? Are the backups fresh? What is waiting for me?
- 01 Erst die Lage, dann das Detail. Oben ein Satz und ein paar Zahlen, die Einzelheiten erst auf Klick.Big picture first, details second. One sentence and a few numbers on top, the specifics only on click.
- 02 Jeder Wert sagt, wie alt er ist. Veraltete Daten fallen auf, statt still grün zu bleiben.Every value shows its age. Stale data stands out instead of quietly staying green.
- 03 Knöpfe statt Konsole. Update-Lauf und Integritätsprüfung starte ich von dort. Ausgeführt werden sie vom KI-Agenten, freigegeben von mir.Buttons instead of a console. I start update runs and integrity checks from there. The AI agent carries them out, I approve them.
- 04 Auch die Wache wird bewacht. Schweigt die Überwachung selbst, meldet sich ein Totmannschalter außer Haus.The watch is watched, too. If monitoring itself goes silent, an off-site dead man’s switch speaks up.

Round-the-clock monitoring
Jeder Dienst, jeder Container und jeder Datenträger meldet seinen Zustand. Die Logs aller Systeme laufen zentral zusammen. Weicht etwas ab, liegt die Meldung auf dem Handy, bevor ich es selbst bemerke — meist samt Hinweis auf die Ursache. Den Überblick gibt ein selbst gebauter Leitstand.
Every service, container and disk reports its own state. Logs from every system flow into one central place. When something deviates, the alert reaches my phone before I notice it myself — usually with a pointer to the cause. A self-built control room provides the overview.

Regular security audits
Kein Baustein läuft unbeobachtet. Jeder wird nach fester Kadenz geprüft — was zum Internet zeigt öfter, Internes seltener. Jeder Befund wird dokumentiert und abgearbeitet, nicht nur notiert. Auf den wichtigsten Systemen wird zusätzlich die Integrität der Dateien laufend gegen eine Referenz geprüft.
Nothing just runs unattended. Every building block is reviewed on a fixed cadence — internet-facing more often, internal less. Every finding gets documented and worked off, not merely noted. On the most important systems, file integrity is also checked continuously against a known-good reference.

Everything as code
Jede Einstellung, jede Firewall-Regel, jeder Dienst liegt versioniert und verschlüsselt in meiner eigenen Git-Verwaltung. Der Abgleich läuft automatisch und meldet sich, wenn er scheitert. Fällt eine Maschine aus, ist der Wiederaufbau ein Wiederherstellen, kein Rekonstruieren.
Every setting, every firewall rule, every service lives versioned and encrypted in my own Git. The sync runs automatically and speaks up when it fails. If a machine fails, rebuilding it is a restore, not a reconstruction.

Failure is part of the plan
Die Dienste liegen nicht auf einer einzelnen Maschine, und eine unabhängige dritte Instanz entscheidet mit, wer bei einer Störung weiterläuft. Ausfälle sind hier Betriebsfall, kein Notfall.
Services don't sit on a single machine, and an independent third instance helps decide who keeps running when something breaks. Outages here are a normal operating case, not an emergency.
